PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving bill data of a taximeter are provided to prevent the modification of the bill data by encoding the bill data. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for transmitting and receiving bill data of a taximeter includes a microprocessor(11), a memory portion(13), a bill calculation portion(15), and a printer portion(17). The microprocessor(11) is electrically connected to the memory portion(13). The microprocessor(11) includes an encoding code generation portion, a data transmission portion, and a decoding code generation portion. The encoding code generation portion encodes the bill data of the bill calculation portion(15). The data transmission portion transmits the encoded bill data to the printer portion(17). The decoding code generation portion decodes the encoded bill data. The printer portion(17) prints the decoded bill data.
