PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a target signal for clutter environment is provided to reduce a ratio of wrong alarm generation in the RADAR(RAdio Detection And Ranging) by outputting selectively a target signal according to a threshold level or a reference level. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting a target signal for clutter environment includes an A/D converter(110), a clutter signal processing portion(120), an FFT signal processor(130), and a clutter adaptation CFAR(Constant False Alarm Rate) processor(140). The A/D converter(110) is used for sampling a video signal of a system and converting the video signal to a digital signal. The clutter signal processing portion(120) is formed with a straight line approximation calculator for obtaining a straight line expression from the sampled video signal and a sum calculator for calculating a difference between an output of the A/D converter(110) and an output of the straight line approximation calculator. The FFT signal processor(130) is used for performing the FFT of the output signal of the sum calculator. The clutter adaptation CFAR processor(140) is used for outputting a target signal by referring to a threshold level or a reference level.
