<p>A fog machine has a heating chamber configured to generate fog substantially instantaneously upon powering a heating element coupled to the heating chamber. The heating chamber (16) is loaded within a casing (10). The heating plate has a heating element (30) and has a surface which defines a contact area on which the fluid is received from the reservoir (20). The contact area (37) on the heating plate (36) could be corrugated to increase the area of contact between the surface of the heating plate and the entire volume of fluid. The fluid is metered and could be delivered in the heating chamber (16) either by gravity or by a pump coupled to a controller. A level sensor to defect the level of fluid in the reservoir is provided. The apparatus is also provided with a remote control element to actuate the unit from a separate location.</p> |
