An indwelling tube guide device having a indwelling tube (14) and a pusher tube (15). The proximal portion of a linear member (20) is positioned closer to the proximal side than the indwelling tube (14) is. The distal portion of this linear member (20) is provided with an engaging member (21). By axially moving the guide member (11), the engaging member (21) is capable of moving from a first state in which it is engaged with the indwelling tube (14) to a second state in which it is disengaged from the indwelling tube (14).
