<p>A fusion polypeptide is provided, comprising a part binding to a target molecule (“target recognition moiety”) and a reporter (e.g. an enzyme or a fluorescent protein, GFP). The target recognition moiety is of a non-antibody origin: It may be selected from a combinatorial library and may be a modified protein domain, such as the Z domain from staphylococcal protein A. Further claimed are methods and the use of said fusion polypeptide for the detection of a target substance in a tissue or a cellular sample.</p> |
