<p>A method has an intermediate layer (12) between the base layer and the tiles. The elastic layer is bonded to the tiles and to the base layer and accommodates differential movements in all directions. The layer is made of a non rotting material, e.g. plastic, and has a surface texture (14) to key in the binder. The surface texturing can be from the choice of material or it can be applied separately, e.g. grit applied onto an adhesive layer. The edges of the panels of the intermediate layer can be stepped to create an overlap.</p> |
