The fixing clip (5) fits into an opening in the seat component, e.g. a seat shell or a plastics holder attached to a spring mat and has a clip body (10) for reception of the object and an insertion section (11) pushed into the opening, provided with an insertion tongue (12) and an elastically deformable retaining tongue (13) separated via a longitudinal slit (14). The insertion tongue has an insertion head (18) extending to one side which fits through the opening, the retaining tongue having a retaining head (19) with a sliding surface (28,29) at its top allowing it to slide along the opening edge.
