The fireproof door has at least one door panel made of fire-resistant glass and movable along a plane in a socket (2) by a transport device (3) comprising at least one track (4) mounted fixed in the wall and by a transport roller (7) which has a fire-resistant core (9) of ceramic, asbestos or metal. The track face (8) of the roller is made of plastics and is defined on each side by a disc (10,11) made of metal. The sliding door has a smoke proof anti-friction seal above and below the visible part of the door panel. The sliding door can have an integrated casement door to provide an additional rescue route.
