The system has a line (3) at the gas outlet (31) of a rotary piston engine (1) leading to a condensation chamber and a several steam delivery lines (2,4-7) connected to the gas inlet (30) of the engine that feed gas at different pressures into the engine. The rotary piston engine drives a generator (10) and/or an air compressor. Several heat exchangers are arranged in the condensation chamber and the steam enters the chamber from above.
