The ring surface (16) of the valve member (15) is formed on an axially projecting ring union (40) of the valve member. The valve seat surface (14) is arranged on the under side of a housing part (11). Exhaust gas is fed from beneath in the direction of the valve seat surface. The valve member is arranged on the under side of the housing part and is locatable from beneath to the valve seat surface. The under side valve seat surface is formed as an inclined surface (44), which narrows in a blunt conical manner in the axial direction turned away from the valve member. Likewise, the upper side ring surface of the valve member is formed as an inclined surface (46), which narrows in a blunt conical manner in the axial direction facing the valve seat surface.
