PURPOSE: Provided are a beverage containing oligosaccharides of Laminaria religiosa and a process for the preparation thereof. In particular, the beverage is prepared by adding an organic acid extract of Laminaria religiosa and the extract of Angelica gigas Nakai. Therefore, it is removed from unpleasant smell and has pleasant aroma peculiar to Angelica gigas Nakai. CONSTITUTION: The beverage containing oligosaccharides of Laminaria religiosa is characterized by containing 8-12 wt.% of an organic acid extract of Laminaria religiosa and 0.5-2 wt.% of the Angelica gigas Nakai. extract, referred to 100 Brix of soluble solid content of the extract. It further contains 2.5-5.5 wt.% of fruit juice(referred to 100 Brix of soluble solid content of fruit juice). Wherein, the fruit juice includes apple, grape and peach juice or the mixture thereof and the organic acid is one of acetic acid, citric acid, lactic acid or tartaric acid. The preparation of the beverage is characterized by the steps of: washing, drying and pulverizing dried Laminaria religiosa; extracting it with an organic acid; and adding the Angelica gigas Nakai. extract thereto.
