SAFETY VALVE FOR AMMONIA AND FREON GAS COMPRESSION TYPE AIR-CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION

PURPOSE: A safety valve for an ammonia and Freon gas compression type air-conditioning and refrigeration is provided to prevent leakage of refrigerant gas, and to reduce size and weight thereof. CONSTITUTION: A safety valve comprises a body(1) comprising a gas suction neck(10) through which gas pressure in a system is introduced, and a gas discharge neck(11) through which gas is discharged when the safety valve is actuated due to abnormal pressure in the system; a spring piston(2) sensing and guiding gas pressure introduced through the gas suction neck; asbestos seal rings(12) contacting with a lower part of the spring piston to keep the system to be air-tight; a lower spring seat(3) contacting with an upper part of the spring piston to transmit tension of a spring(4) to the spring piston; the spring; an upper spring seat(5) attached on an upper part of the spring to evenly receive variation of a pressure control spindle setting and controlling pressure of the safety valve; a pressure indicator(9) indicating pressure setting value currently set; the pressure control spindle having the pressure indicator integrally attached thereon, and setting various pressure setting value to allow a user to check and control desired pressure; a pressure fixing nut(7) fixing the pressure control spindle; and an upper cap(6) guiding the pressure indicator, and having a scale formed thereon for the pressure indicator coupled to the asbestos seal ring and the body.
