Cosmetic unit comprises a container (2) having a cylindrical section (9) that is set back to form an annular shoulder (8) and is provided with a container-side toothed region (13). A sealing cap has a downward-opening annular groove in which a sealing cap-side toothed region is formed. The outer wall of the sealing cap lies with its front side on the annular shoulder of the container and the lower edge of the outer wall of the sealing cap covers the toothed regions. Preferred Features: The toothed regions consist of a row of undulating teeth (14) arranged next to each other. The sides of adjacent teeth enclose an angle of about 90degrees.
