<p>A method for monitoring a performance of a volume meter for a fuel delivery unit is disclosed. The volume meter has a thereto associated data memory. The method comprises storing, in the memory, a series of values of a calibration result for the volume meter. The method further comprises storing, in the memory, a series of values of an aging indicator for the volume meter, each of the values of the aging indicator being associated with a respective value of the calibration result.
