PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for skin whitening which contains a Chrysanthemum coronarium L. extract, as natural skin whitening material, selected from freeze-dried extract, hot water extract or ethanol extract. CONSTITUTION: A composition for skin whitening characteristically contains 0.01-10 wt.% of one or more kinds of Chrysanthemum coronarium L. extracts, as an active ingredient, selected from the group consisting of freeze-dried extract, hot water extract or ethanol extract. It inhibits tyrosinase activity to decrease the generation of melanin, and has extended storage.
