摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for demodulating a multiple Walsh code by using a chip combiner are provided to efficiently demodulate a data channel using a multiple Walsh code. CONSTITUTION: A CCMW(Chip Combining Multiple Walsh) demodulation part(302), connected to a demapping part(346) consists of slim fingers(304), a chip combiner(316), and a multiple Walsh demodulator(320). Received signals are respectively inputted to the slim fingers(304) and despread through a PN despreader(306). The despread signals are inputted to multipliers(310,312) through pilot filters(308). The multipliers(310,312) multiply the output of the PN despreader(306) by the output of the pilot filters(308), executes chip-level channel compensation, and stores the data in relevant FIFOs among a plurality of finger FIFOs(314) in order to delay as much as N chips. The chip combiner(316) combines the stored data in a unit of chip and supplies them to the Walsh decoverers(326,328,330) of the multiple Walsh demodulator(320) and a CIP measurer(318). The Walsh decoverers(326,328,330) execute decovering for the output of the chip combiner(316) and output Walsh symbols. A parallel/serial converter(338) converts the parallel symbols, outputted from the Walsh decoverers(326,328,330), into serial symbols and stores them in a 5-slot symbol buffer(340) sequentially.
