The device has at least one flexible band (6) with a handle (7) at each end for gripping a machine (1) that has been placed on the band or bands with the hands. The length of the band or bands is longer then the corresponding dimensions of the width or depth the machine to be moved. The band has an adhesive strip fitted with longitudinal cords for strengthening.
