A door operating assembly for swing doors comprises a linear motor 17 mounted on a bracket 18, a frame or chassis 4 mounted horizontally above the door and houses rails 3 engaged by rollers 20 supporting plates 19, 27, which form the moving members of the motor 17 and are reciprocated by the stationary coils of the motor. A roller pin 7 is mounted on the door A by a plate 10, the pin 7 engaging a cam slot 29 in the plate 19, whereby opening or closing the door A is effected by operation of the plate 19 by the motor 17. Two limit switches 6, 8 are provided to switch off the motor 17 when the door is either closed or open. In one embodiment (Fig. 9 not shown) a time delay mechanism is provided for automatic closing of the door.</p> |
