The present invention relates to a hydrate of 4,4 -ditriazinylamino-2,2 -disulfostilbene compound of the general formula I, in which M and Mi1 represent independently on each other hydrogen, lithium, potassium or sodium and x is a number within the range of 1 to 30, whereby crystalline forms of the hydrate of the above general formula are characterized by specific X-ray diffraction diagrams. The invention further relates to processes for preparing crystalline forms of the hydrate, a bleaching aqueous composition containing this hydrate as well as a method for fluorescent bleaching of paper or textile material using such bleaching composition.
