<p>The invention relates to the tagging of axially symmetrical, e.g., cylindrical, metal containers, especially pressure containers for propane gas, by means of a transponder (30). The container has a carrier ring (12) on its top surface (16), said carrier ring being fixed at a distance (14) from the top surface (16) of the metal container (10). According to the invention, a recess (22) is provided in the carrier ring (12), this recess being essentially oriented in the direction of the radial extension (26) of the carrier ring (12) and away from the top surface (16) of the container (10) and the dimensions of the recess being such that it is possible to place and fix a pin-shaped transponder (30) therein in such a way that the coil axis of the transponder lies essentially in the direction of the radial extension (26) of the carrier ring (12).</p> |
