<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid golf ball excellent not only in flying performance but also in striking feeling. <P>SOLUTION: In this solid golf ball comprising a core and a cover for covering a periphery around the core, the core contains a rubber composition containing a base rubber, a co-crosslinker, an organic peroxide, and a vulcanization regulator comprising a dithiocarbamate. The vulcanization regulator comprising the dithiocarbamate is preferably tellurium diethyl dithiocarbamate.
