PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve appropriate power transmission by further reducing the collision sound (rattling sound) between tooth flanks caused by the backlash of reduction gears and maintaining appropriate backlash between the tooth flanks of a worm and a wheel. SOLUTION: A rolling ball bearing 9 is arranged while being inclined to a worm shaft 7, and annular elastic bodies 10, 11 are arranged between the inclined ball bearing 9 and the worm 6 and between the ball bearing 9 and a retaining ring 8a. Therefore, the elastic bodies 10, 11 can exhibit nonuniform energization force in an axial direction, thus energizing the worm 6 in an axial direction and a diameter direction and giving a pre-load to a worm wheel 2.
