PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment machine which can exactly detect the amount of passed air and the clogging of a filter. SOLUTION: In the garbage treatment machine which reduces the weight of charged garbage, an airflow meter 19a is set in an air suction pipeline 18 supplying the open air to a treatment tank 20 for reducing the weight of the garbage, and the amount of air passed through an air suction pipeline 18 is calculated on the basis of the detection signal of the airflow meter 19a by a controller 45. When the amount of the air passed through the air suction pipeline 18 calculated on the basis of the detection signal of the airflow meter 19a is below a set value, the controller 45 judges that a main filter 64 and a sub-filter 65 are clogged and displays a wedging window 121 for informing the time of filter replacement on a display screen 115.
