PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article classifier which enables the shaking operation of a classifying conveyor by a rotary dry means small in output. SOLUTION: The article classifier has a plurality of classifying sections provided at every article classifying destination and a plurality of main feed routes arranged correspondingly to the classifying sections and capable of individually feeding articles. The main feed routes are shaken when sprockets 51a and 51b receive the driving of a servo motor 42 to be rotated and moved along chain members 52a and 52b. These sprockets 51a and 51b and the chain members 52a and 52b are arranged so as to leave a predetermined distance from a drive shaft 41 becoming the shaking fulcrum of the main feed routes, thereby increasing the output of the servo motor 42.
