PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently oxidize and decompose sludge containing dioxins. SOLUTION: Sludge containing dioxins obtained by treating wastewater 12 containing dioxins in a flocculation and sedimentation process 10 is once stored in a sludge storage tank 22 and subsequently finally pulverized in a pulverization process so that the median particle size of sludge becomes 10-100μm. Next, iron ions 32 and hydrogen peroxide 34 are added to the pulverized sludge in a reaction process 28 to perform the Phenton oxidation treatment of dioxins in sludge. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
