PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted carrier car with improved safety of an operator and passengers when a power assist function is not necessary when friction between a wheel and a ground contact surface lowers or the like. SOLUTION: In the power assisted carrier car having the wheel, a driving part for driving the wheel, a car body provided with an operation handle, an external force detecting means of detecting the external force applied to the operation handle for advancing the car body, and a driving control means of generating the assist power corresponding to the external force detected by the external force detecting means at the driving part, there are provided a ground contact condition detecting means 6 for detecting the external force in the vertical direction applied to the operation handle 3, a ground contact judging means 21 for judging a ground contact condition of the wheel based on a detected value of the external force in the vertical direction, and a ground contact control means 7 for controlling the driving part 2 to reduce the assist power corresponding to the detected value of the external force when the ground contact condition of the wheel is judged to be unstable by the ground contact judging means 21.
