PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generating device enabling the user to enjoy low- temperature sauna to his or her heart's content even with a bathtub having no hot-water supply system. SOLUTION: A box is divided into a water storage chamber 4, a pump chamber 5, a waterwheel chamber 7, and a mist chamber 6. The water storage chamber 4 is provided with a water storage tank 4a having a heater 4d, the pump chamber 5 is provided with a pump 5a. The waterwheel 1 disposed in the waterwheel chamber 7 and the fan 2 disposed in the mist chamber 6 are attached to the same rotation shaft 3 for integral rotation, with the hot water in the water storage tank 4a being blown against the waterwheel 1 by the pump 5a. The mist generated by blowing the hot water against the waterwheel 1 is introduced by the fan 2, together with the hot air fed in from a hot-air generating device 12, into the mist chamber 6, and is discharged from a discharge port 6a.
