PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long term stable aqueous insecticidal suspension composition with low viscosity and favorable water dispersibility and containing an effective ingredient of a hydrophobic insecticidal compound solid at ordinary temperature. SOLUTION: The aqueous insecticidal composition contains (a) an insecticidal compound with a melting point of 50°C or higher and a solubility in water of 150-5,000 mg/L at 20°C, (b) a ligninsulfonate and (c) a hydrophobic organic solvent substantially incompatible with water and substantially incapable of dissolving the insecticidal compound.
