PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make right and left rise and fall cylinders 60 and 61 perform reduction or extension action with no difference between the cylinders and to have proper support for equally keeping the right and left supporting heights of a second reaping blade 50 in a structure in which both the right and left sides of the second reaping blade 50 are liftably supported by the right and left rise and fall cylinders 60 and 61. SOLUTION: In the reaping apparatus for a combine harvester, which is equipped with a first reaping blade 23 for reaping grain culms and the second reaping blade 50 for reaping residual culms, the reaping apparatus is furnished with the hydraulic right and left rise and fall cylinders 60 and 61 for liftably supporting both the right and left ends of the second reaping blade 50, the outlet side 60b of the rise and fall cylinder 60 is connected to the inlet side 61a of the other rise and fall cylinder 61 and a relief valve 80 for rise and fall correction is arranged in a connection circuit 79 between the inlet side 60a of the rise and fall cylinder 60 and the inlet side 61a of the other rise and fall cylinder 61.
