SEAL PROTECTING APPARATUS OF INCLINED SHAFT IN CENTER DRIVE TYPE TILLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sealing member arranged between an inclined shaft and a tilling shaft from being damaged. SOLUTION: A transmission case 3 is rotatably equipped with the approximately horizontally arranged tilling shaft 8 and a supporting cylinder 9 projected from the transmission case 3 around the tilling shaft 8 is rotatably furnished with the cylindrical inclined shaft 13 having a central axis inclined to the central axis of the tilling shaft 8. The sealing member 23 is arranged between the inner peripheral side of the outside end of the inclined shaft 13 in the shaft direction and the outer peripheral side of the tilling shaft 8, the tilling shaft 8 is equipped with a protection cover 29 which closes a space between the tilling shaft 8 and the outside end of the inclined shaft 13 in the shaft direction and covers the outside of the sealing member 23. A protection ring 31 for covering the outside of the sealing member 23 in the radial direction is installed inside the protection cover 29 and at the inner peripheral side of the inclined shaft 13.
