PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporter for cultivation, protected from an insect or the like and having improved durability even by using bamboo. SOLUTION: The supporter 10 for cultivation is made of the bamboo, and used by being inserted into the bottom 1 of sea to support a member 5 for cultivation. The supporter 10 has a body 11 of the bamboo, and a protective covering layer 15 arranged so as to cover the whole surface of the outer periphery of the body 11 of the bamboo at least at the vicinity of a boundary site 3 between the bottom 1 of the sea and seawater 2 when the supporter 10 is inserted into the bottom 1 of the sea.
