<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device presuming a reduction degree of a detection performance of a radar sensor at high accuracy and selectively restricting a vehicle following control and a collision prediction control. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device 80 is provided with a millimeter wave radar sensor 14 for detecting a relationship of an object and an own vehicle and carries out the vehicle following control and a collision prediction control based on the relationship with the above object. The vehicle control device is further provided with a confidence presumption means 10 for presuming the confidence of a result of the detection of the millimeter wave radar sensor 14; and a selection restriction means for selecting at least one of the vehicle following control or the collision presumption control based on the confidence and restricting execution of the selected control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
