<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erasing head capable of completely erasing a reversible thermosensitive recording material by an optimum erasing condition suitable for the color developing/color erasing characteristics of a reversible thermosensitive recording layer, and dramatically alleviating the rate of the quality deterioration of the reversible thermosensitive recording material in the case of recording and erasing repeatedly, a method for controlling an erasing head, and an erasing unit. <P>SOLUTION: An erasing head with a plurality of band-like heat generating layers provided side by side on an alumina substrate is used. As the heat generating layers, those having a 1,000-3,500 ppm/°C temperature coefficient of resistance are preferable, and it is preferable that the characteristics of the plurality of the heat generating layers differ with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
