PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a glaze or a ceramic ware painting color to have the function of efficiently generating minus ions presumed to have an action useful for the human health in the state of usual use. SOLUTION: The glaze is the one having an ion generation function and containing 100 pts.wt. glaze base and 5-50 pts.wt. powder of a rare-earth- containing radioactive mineral or powder obtained by firing the radioactive mineral. The ceramic ware painting color is the one having an ion generation function and contains as functional components 100 pts.wt. pigment component for ceramic ware coloration and 5-50 pts.wt. powder of the rare-earth-containing radioactive mineral or the powder obtained by firing the radioactive mineral.
