<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous calcium phosphate body which, when implanted in the living body, is amenable to the penetration of the living tissue thereinto a can be easily absorbed by the living body. <P>SOLUTION: The porous calcium phosphate body comprises a cured product obtained by hydrating and curing a calcium phosphate paste prepared by kneading a calcium phosphate powder (for example, calcium hydrogenphosphate powder or tetracalcium phosphate powder) with a water-containing curing agent (for example, aqueous sodium dextransulfate solution), wherein the porosity of the porous calcium phosphate body is 30-90% (desirably, 35-85%), and 30-70% (desirably 35-65%) of the entire pores are interconnected ones having a diametric size of 10-1,000 μm (desirably 20-800 μm) and being open to the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
