<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new lactogenic composition for mothers with troubles such as insufficient lactation during lactating period to stimulate production of mother's breast milk to make lactationable having an important meaning for child rearing. <P>SOLUTION: Production of mother's breast milk can be stimulated by daily administration of 1 mg or over of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of 2-amino-4-(N-alkylcarbamoyl) butanoic acid and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts.
