APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING DISTORTION OF HEADER STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of easily and precisely correcting distortion after welding a header from which stress is not removed to a stub. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for correcting distortion of a header structure, a header structure 1 is formed by welding steel pipes having small diameters 3 to a header (a steel pipe having a middle diameter) 2. The apparatus has a pair of supports 9 and 9 for sandwiching the header structure 1 and pressing it from opposing portions and a freely projectable hydraulic press 4 in order to correct the distortion of the header structure 1. The supports 9 and 9 and the hydraulic press 4 have a structure movable in the axial direction of the pipe. At least one side of the supports 9 and 9 and the hydraulic press 4 has a laser length measurement device 7 for measuring the interval between the supports 9 and 9 or the hydraulic press 4 and the structure 1. The apparatus has a hydraulic press projection adjusting device for adjusting the projection length of the hydraulic press 4 adjusting to the amount of distortion of the header structure 1 according to the measured data by the measurement device 7.
