PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus which enables the cleaning of a glass plate for forming a casting mold to remove a stain or bonded refuse, and a cleaning method using the same. SOLUTION: The cleaning/drying apparatus for a fed glass plate for forming a casting mold has a liquid discharge port for discharging a liquid to the surface of the glass plate, a rotary brush and an air discharge port from an upstream side. In the cleaning/drying method for the fed glass plate for forming the casting mold, the liquid is discharged to the surface of the glass plate and the surface of the glass plate is cleaned by the rotary brush and air is further discharged to dry the glass plate.
