PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article classifier good in workability at the time of replacement and maintenance of a classifying conveyor and high in the rate of operation. SOLUTION: A plurality of classifying sections 33 provided at every article classifying destination and a plurality of classifying conveyors 34 arranged correspondingly to the classifying sections 33 are arranged on a machine frame 31. Each of the classifying conveyors 34 is equipped with a feed unit 40 capable of feeding articles and operated so as to classify the articles to the corresponding classifying section if necessary and a cell control means 60 for controlling the operation of the feed unit 40 to be unified individually and made detachable with respect to the machine frame 31.
