PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a longitudinal flash brought about in a mold from being left in a small-diameter support hole, in the mold wherein a small-diameter core pin for forming an optical fiber insertion hole is inserted into the small- diameter support hole and a ferrule for an optical connector is injection-molded. SOLUTION: In the mold, a first slide mold 3 sliding in the direction intersecting perpendicularly the direction wherein a stationary mold 1 and a movable mold 2 are opposed to each other and having the small-diameter core pin 3a and a second slide mold 4 having the small-diameter support hole 4a are disposed opposite to each other. The movable mold 2 is equipped with two long and short angular pins 6 and 7. The long angular pin 6 is inserted into a slant hole 3c of the first slide mold 3 so that a little play is brought about on the upper side in the hole, while the short angular pin 7 is inserted tightly into a slant hole 4c of the second slide mold 4. On the occasion of opening of the mold, first the second slide mold 4 and then the first slide mold 3 are moved back and lastly the core pin 3a is extracted from a molded article 9. The longitudinal flash 9a is taken out from the mold, being left sticking to the ferrule 9 for the optical connector. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
