PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an impact noise generated when a rear end of a recording paper sheet fed from a sheet feed tray falls down from an upper face of a recording paper sheet bundle onto a guide member over a corner claw, and a sliding noise from being generated, when the recording paper sheet fed from a paper sheet feeder is fed to be conveyed to an image forming part or the like. SOLUTION: This paper sheet feeder is provided with a paper sheet feed roller 6 for feeding the recording paper sheet by contacting with the uppermost face of the recording paper sheet bundle inside the sheet feed tray 5 and rotating, a conveying route 2 for conveying the recording paper sheet fed by the feed roller, and the guide member 7 provided with a guide upper face 7a positioned between the feed roller and a conveying route inlet to guide the fed recording paper sheet to a pair of conveying rollers, and is constituted to make the rear end of the recording paper sheet fed by the paper sheet feed roller collided with the guide upper face. In the feeder, a cushioning protrusion 31 is arranged at least in one portion of the guide upper face, and the rear end of the recording paper sheet is brought into contact with the cushioning protrusion.
