PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of steel sheets having different sheet thickness in longitudinal direction capable of having a prescribed material for both of the thin and thick parts when the steel sheet is manufactured by hot rolling. SOLUTION: For a steel sheet 4 which is rolled by rough rolling in a rough rolling machine 11, the intended thick part 5 and the intended thin part 6 are water cooled in a water cooling device 13 to give a prescribed temperature before finish rolling, and after that, the steel sheet is rolled in the hot finish rolling machine 12 to obtain the steel sheet having different thickness.
