PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device by which an operation lever of a tackle brake is not rocked even when a wheel chair is used wile connecting a caliper brake to the tackle brake with wire. SOLUTION: A spring member 29 being a rocking preventing mechanism is arranged in a base part 28 of a lever for moving a brake shoe 23, or in the rotation part 30 of the operation lever in order to prevent the operation lever 21 from being rocked. As shown in Figs. 5 (5-1) and its backup (5-2), the spring member 29 prevents the rocking of the operation lever by arranging a recession in the base part 28 of the lever 22, and extending a leaf spring with a projection to be engaged with the recession.
