PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a stupa which enables a writer to shift the position to hold the long stupa smoothly and to write letters on many stupas for a long period of time without hurting his/her palms and fingers when he/she writes letters of Buddhist scriptures and posthumous names on the stupas, hardly causes a thorn to prick in his/her palm, and causes no damage to his/her clothes by rubbing with the stupa. SOLUTION: Four corner parts 2-1 to 2-4 in the longitudinal direction of the stupa 1 having a rectangular cross section in the width direction and made of a long, thin sheet of lumber are chamfered in prescribed dimensions and at a prescribed angle.
