<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously obtain a rolled rubber sheet of good properties having gradually reducing tapers of a thickness toward lateral ends at both sides of the lateral direction. <P>SOLUTION: A method for rolling the rubber comprises the steps of extruding a sheet-state unvulcanized rubber member 40 from the mouth 14 of an extruder 12, and thereafter rolling the member 40 by a roller head 22. The shapes of the opening shape of the mouth 14 and the molded part of the head 22 are similar to the sectional shape along the lateral direction of the rolled rubber sheet 42. The unvulcanized rubber member 42 extruded from the mouth 14 is rolled by the head 22 so as not to form a rubber bank. Thus, the sheet 42 becomes uniform in the rolling direction over the lateral widthwise direction. As a result, a sheet shrinkage occurring after the rolling becomes uniform over the lateral widthwise direction. After cooling, a waviness does not occur on the tapered part, but the rolled rubber sheet 42 having good properties is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
