METHOD FOR LASER BEAM WELDING OF ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laser beam welding of an aluminum alloy plate in which a sound butt welding joint performance can be obtained in the case of a deteriorated shield property or in the case of on shield gas when the aluminum alloy plate is laser-welded.

SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy thin plates are abutted and the abutted part is welded by the laser beam welding method using a YAG laser in a shield gas free state. A weld metal part in which the content of Mg is≤1.0 mass.% and the content of Si is≥0.2 mass.% is manufactured by this.
