PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a construction vehicle improving an envelope characteristic without changing total strength of a crown part and a cord arrangement angle of a belt layer. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire for the construction vehicle, carcass layers 5a and 5b made of at least two layers of steel cords crossing each other between the layers are provided to lead to a bead part 3 from the crown part 1 via left and right side wall parts 2, a belt layer 8 made of at least two layers of steel cords crossing each other between the layers is arranged on outer peripheries of the carcass layers 5a and 5b, and a cord angle in tire peripheral directions of the carcass layers 5a and 5b in the crown part 1 is 73 to 85°.
