PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine of high game properties without provoking a player's gambling spirit more than necessary. SOLUTION: In this slot machine for playing a game using a medal or a credit card, when a BB (big bonus) is won in an ordinary game state, the upper limit number of medals, for instance of the BB is selected out of a plurality of predetermined upper limit numbers while generating a BB state comprising a small combination game wherein a small combination is won in high probability, and an RB (regular bonus) state wherein a Jac prize is won in high probability. The BB state is terminated upon satisfying either one of the case in which the acquired number of medals during the BB reaches the upper limit number selected when winning the BB, the case of shifting into the RB state the prescribed number of times to terminate the RB state, and the case in which the acquired number of medals during the BB reaches the upper limit number during the RB to terminate the RB state.
