PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon mounting method for an ultrasonic diagnostic device with which a balloon is easily and uniformly mounted on a tip end of an inserting portion. SOLUTION: While inverting front and rear sides of a balloon 10 and inverting its longitudinal direction, between two fastening rings 10a and 10b, the front side fastening ring 10a is engaged into a front side circumferential groove 8a between two circumferential grooves 8a and 8b, and the rear side fastening ring 10b is widened, elastically fastened and engaged into an outer peripheral portion of a cylindrical balloon mounting fixture 20 with a diameter where tip ends 2 and 5 of the inserting portion are smoothly passed insides. In such a state, the balloon 10 is deviated to cover the tip ends 2 and 5 of the inserting portion together with the balloon mounting fixture 20 and while positioning the rear side fastening ring 10b near the rear side circumferential groove 8b, the rear side fastening ring 10b is disengaged from the balloon mounting fixture 20. Then, only the balloon mounting fixture 20 is moved to the tip end sides of the tip ends 2 and 5 of the inserting portion and disengaged, and the rear side fastening ring 10b is engaged into the rear side circumferential groove 8b.
