摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preparing polyhedra by a cell-free protein synthetic system and incorporating a functional protein in the formed polyhedra. SOLUTION: A polyhedrin protein is obtained by a cell-free protein synthetic method. A method for producing the protein is provided. The cell-free protein synthetic system uses an extract liquid derived from wheat embryos. The polyhedrin protein embeds and/or binds an optional protein. The optional protein is a fusion protein with a protein containing a structure of the full length or a part thereof derived from viruses. Uses of the resultant polyhedra crystal to a protein chip, a protein capsule or an X-ray structural analysis are provided. A method for detecting an intermolecular interaction of the embedded protein with other components comprises reacting the resultant polyhedra crystal with other components selected from the group consisting of proteins, sugars, lipids, nucleic acids and ions. A solid phase for detecting the intermolecular interaction is obtained by binding the resultant polyhedra crystal to a solid phase. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
